Jamie Foxx Is Still Checked In At A Chicago Medical Facility
Per Radar Online, there seems to be no discharge date in sight for Foxx, who is still checked in to a medical facility in Chicago that specializes in rehabilitating people who have suffered complicated health issues.
The actor was previously hospitalized in an Atlanta hospital for weeks after he experienced a health scare while at the location filming his upcoming Netflix movie “Back In Action” alongside Cameron Diaz.
He was moved to Chicago when his condition improved, but his prolonged stay in the new medical facility has made many think that his health status hasn’t gotten any better.
In the meantime, it is still unclear what led to the health scare as the actor’s family have continued to keep friends and fans out of the loop, although they have been spotted visiting him on several occasions.
Jamie Foxx’s Daughter Shuts Down Rumors On His Health Status
News on Foxx’s health status comes weeks after his daughter Corrine shut down rumors that the actor was still in an Atlanta hospital.
Taking to her Instagram Story, she revealed that the “Django” star was moved out “weeks” ago and is now “recuperating” from the effects of his medical emergency.
Corrine also clarified that there was no damage to Foxx’s physical ability, saying that her father recently engaged in a game of pickleball at the facility.
“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. He was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support,” Corrine posted, per The Blast.
Corrine Foxx Revealed He Suffered A Health Scare
On April 11, Corrine announced that her father had suffered a medical emergency the day before but did not clarify where the actor was when it happened.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” she wrote.
She added, “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already recovering. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
Although it is unclear when the medical emergency occurred, it reportedly did not happen on the “Back In Action set,” which was in the final stages of its production.
Jamie Foxx Recently Thanked Fans For Their Prayers
While Foxx has been off social media since the medical emergency, he made a brief comeback a few weeks ago to thank fans and other well-wishers for their prayers.
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” he said, alongside heart and fox emojis, as reported by The Blast.
The actor also thanked Nick Cannon later on his Instagram Story, seemingly referencing the tv personality’s temporary role as the host of “Beat Shazam” in his absence.
